Build Connection & Identify Needs : 

  • Establish rapport and create a safe, supportive space

  • Conduct a needs assessment to understand the teacher’s goals, challenges, and strengths

  • Define clear, achievable objectives for the coaching cycle

Set clear goals & Planning:

  • Collaboratively set measurable goals that align with the teacher’s needs

  • Develop a personalized action plan with strategies, resources, and timelines

  • Break the plan into manageable steps for success

 

Model & Support Implementation:

  • Demonstrate key strategies (live, via video, or through sample lessons)

  • Support the teacher as they implement strategies in their classroom

  • Encourage reflection during the process to address concerns early

Observe & Provide Feedback:

  • Observe/Discuss the teacher’s implementation (submitting recording optional)

  • Provide constructive feedback with actionable next steps

  • Celebrate progress and highlight successes

Reflect & Plan for Continued Growth: 

  • Guide the teacher in reflecting on what worked well and what they’d improve

  • Celebrate wins and set new or ongoing goals

  • Provide resources or strategies for long-term success
